Privacy policy

The short version: Yard & Gallon (yardandgallon.com) has no accounts, no ads, no advertising or analytics cookies and no email sign-up. The calculators run in your browser and the measurements you type are not sent to us.

Calculator inputs

Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser tab. It is not stored or transmitted, and it is gone when you close or reload the page.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies when it detects suspicious traffic.

Reading statistics

To learn which pages are useful, each page sends one anonymous note to our own server when you leave it: the page address, how long it was open, how far it was scrolled, the referring website and any campaign tag in the link. It uses no cookies and no identifier that follows you across visits or sites.

Advertising

The site shows no ads and loads no advertising tags. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Links to other sites

Pages link to their sources, such as manufacturer data sheets and building department handouts. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
